Another starved pup hopes for a second chance

Thanks to notanillusion for sending this link.

Patrick was starved to the point that he could not bear his own weight, then put in a garbage bag and tossed down a trash chute. (how can people do such evil things!?)

Fortunately, a custodian noticed the moving trash bag and Patrick may have a chance at recovery.

If anybody in the NJ area, please consider adopting Patrick!

  1. Patrick must really have the will to live! I hope this sweet boy finds his loving forever home soon. How anyone could do this is beyond me. Thank goodness he is now getting the treatment he needs.

  2. Those eyes tell the whole store. I don't know how people can do that. It makes me sick. I hope he finds a new home soon.

  3. It makes me sick to think that people can do that to an animal and not think twice about it.

I hope Patrick gets healthy and finds a furever home with someone who will give this special dog all the love and care he deserves.

  4. Oh good grief. :-(

People's evilness never ceases to amaze. :-( But I must think that for every bad bad BAD person ,there are a thousand good ones - one of whom will give brave and adorable Patrick a loving and forever home.

    Take care

  5. Poor baby! We are constantly amazed at how MEAN people can be. How awful. We're so glad someone found him and he will be ok.

  6. It always amazes me how people can just throw away their pets! I am so glad he is getting a second chance at life!

  7. If only I lived in NJ, I'd adopt him in a heartbeat.... It's so sad that people can be so inhumane... It leaves me little hope for humanity.

  8. This is terrible. I really hope someone in the area is able to adopt him and get him healthy again. Really, what is the point of doing something like this? What do you get from starving a dog and throwing him in the garbage?

  9. "What do you get from starving a dog and throwing him in the garbage?"

Seriously! What is the point!? I can only assume that they first starved the poor dog by being negligent, then thought they'd get in trouble so they tried to hide the evidence?

  10. We've been following Patrick and are glad his owner has been arrested and charged. We so hope he ends up in a happy, loving home.
